Gaucin is a Spanish village in the Autononous Community of Andalusia. It is located in the western part of the Province of Malaga, in the Valle del Genal, and is one of the towns and villages of the Serranía de Ronda mountains.

Gaucin is the first village on the road between the city of Ronda and the Campo de Gibraltar . It is one of the so-called “white villages” clinging to the slopes of the mountains through which the Genal River flows.

How to get there:

BY PLANE

The airports that are closest to Gaucin are the one in Gibraltar, 56 km away (1hour by car) and the airport of Malaga, 113 km away (1hour and a half by car). Rental cars are available at both airports to drive to Gaucín. You can also hire taxi from Gaucin by telephone at: 600294138 / 952151130 (approximate cost from Malaga is 91 euros, from Gibraltar 55 euros and from Ronda 30 euros).

BY TRAIN

By train you can reach the train stations of Ronda (36 km) or Gaucín Estación (14 km), and from there take a taxi to Gaucin.

BY ROAD

For people who have a car, you can get to Gaucin from Malaga by taking the dual carriageway or toll motorway (more practical and faster), which takes you through the lovely coastal landscape and towns of Marbella, San Pedro and Estepona to Sabinillas / Manilva, where you continue on road A-377 in the direction of Manilva Casares to Gaucin. From Gibraltar road A-369 goes to Gaucin, going through the interesting villages of Castellar and Jimena de la Frontera in the province of Cadiz. From Madrid, Seville, Cordoba, Granada and other major inland cities, you can get to Gaucin via Ronda, driving through spectacular mountain landscapes and in Ronda taking road A-369 which goes to Algeciras.

Casa La Almagra is located at Km 23.5 on road A-377. The entrance to the property is located at 14.5 km. from the village of Gaucin, and 10.5 Km from the village of Casares.
